Role
The Product Business Analyst defines comprehensive functional requirements for product enhancements by researching best-in-class industry practices and gathering and consolidating requirements and input from clients and client teams. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the P&C insurance domain and help devise functional solutions within the overall framework and pattern of the product. The individual will act as the business liaison between the Product and client teams and be responsible for producing and maintaining use case and product adoption documentation.
Job Responsibilities
- Performing business and functional analysis for a large, complex insurance domain-focused application
- Collaborating with Product Owners, Delivery team BAs, client SMEs, and other members of the Product team to define requirements
- Documenting use cases, functional specifications, and interactive prototyping
- Conducting solution design walkthroughs and product functionality demonstrations to garner and document feedback
- Analyzing system processes to identify interface points and workflow considerations
- Assisting Product Owners to help define product adoption guidelines and practices
- Defining acceptance criteria for completed product functionality
- Helping prioritize phased functionality rollout keeping Product and client team MVP criteria in mind
Desired Technical Skills
- Ability to create high-quality Use Cases, Product adoption plans, Acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation
- Understanding and knowledge of Billing business processes and workflows – Policy and Claims experience a plus.
- Aptitude to learn and demonstrate deep functional knowledge of OneShield suite of products
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to produce quality work on an aggressive timeline
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems as they arise

Education
- A full time Bachelors’/Masters’ Degree from a recognized university.
Experience
- 6+ years of Business Analyst experience in Property & Casualty enterprise insurance applications
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO based products will be an advantage
- Experience in Product based organizations will be an advantage
