Role
OneShield Inc, located in Marlborough, MA, is looking for a remote Staff Accountant to help us build a world-class accounting department. The ideal candidate will be a team player, ready to step in and help with whatever project or type of work is most critical. This role will provide broad experience in various tasks, including:
Responsibilities
Assisting in month-end close activities that include:
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Fixed Assets.
- Journal entries.
- Prepare various balance sheet and expense account reconciliations and research and resolve variances monthly.
- Assist with India office close activities.
- Review Accounts Payable Transactions.
- Prepare various balance sheet and expense account reconciliations and research and resolve variances monthly.
- Assist with accounts payable function as needed, processing weekly invoices.
- Assist with accounts receivable function as needed, processing weekly invoices, processing cash receipts.
- Assist with Preparing monthly sales tax filings.
- Assist with other special accounting-related projects and other duties as needed.
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of experience.
- Automated accounting systems experience (Microsoft Dynamics GP, a real plus).
- Intermediate to advanced PC Skills necessary – MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Self-motivated, team player.
- Minimum requirement – Associate’s degree in Accounting; Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, customer service, and organization skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
