Role
OneShield is looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to take responsibility for our entire internal development and client production database infrastructure in AWS. The DBA will work together with other DBAs within TechOps team.
Job Description
• Installation, implementation, and support for all databases in AWS.
• Develops and maintains infrastructure code to install, configure, upgrade and patch database software
• Designs, implements, maintains, and troubleshoots data replication pipelines and backups
• Works with Development teams to analyze data and ensure consistency with Data Architecture Standards.
• Performs system administration functions including tuning, performance monitoring, security monitoring, and system upgrades.
• Evaluates, recommends, and implements production/non-production enhancements including storage and backup management.
• Works with application developers and systems engineers to ensure optimal performance of production systems.
• Plans and implements new processes and automations within the database services group.
• Design and deploy mission critical applications.
• Troubleshoot L2 & L3 issues.
Desired Technical Skills
• Experience with Linux
• Experience in Oracle 12c/19c is a must.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle architecture.
• Experience in RMAN & Datapump is a must.
• Excellent SQL and PL/SQL knowledge required.
• Experience with AWS Oracle database (RDS & EC2) is a must.
• Experience in performance tuning is required.
• Experience in database migration from VM to Cloud & vice-versa.
• Experience in shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Dataguard, Enterprise Manager and RAC.

Education
• A full-time Bachelors’/Masters’ Degree from a recognized university.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA managing both Production and Development databases.
