Job Description – Trainer/Instructional Designer

 

Role


We are seeking an experienced Trainer/Instructional designer with a minimum of 4–5 years of experience in content creation. The ideal candidate will design and develop engaging, effective, innovative learning solutions tailored to meet diverse learner needs. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create content for training programs, e-learning modules, and other educational materials.


Job Responsibilities


  • Analyze training needs, target audience, and project objectives to determine instructional design requirements.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging and interactive instructional materials, including e-learning modules, job aids, instructor-led training (ILT) content, and blended learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, trainers, and stakeholders to gather and translate complex technical or business concepts into learner-friendly content.
  • Develop storyboards, scripts, and outlines for e-learning courses and training videos.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create practical training experiences.
  • Incorporate multimedia elements like animations, graphics, and videos to enhance the learning experience.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure alignment with learning objectives.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and tools in instructional design and recommend innovative approaches for training delivery.

 

Technical Skills


  • Strong understanding of instructional design models such as ADDIE & Bloom’s Taxonomy.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems such as Absorb or Cornerstone.
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Vyond.
  • Ability to design and implement assessments, evaluations, and interactive exercises to measure learning outcomes.
  • Strong writing and editing skills to create content that is concise and engaging.

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Instructional Design Certification
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or a related role.
  • Proven track record of creating effective learning solutions in a corporate or academic setting.
