Job Description – Technical Writer
Role
We are looking for a skilled Technical Writer with 2–3 years of experience in technical writing and a strong technical background. The role involves creating high-quality technical content, developing product documentation, and contributing to knowledge management initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand stakeholders' requirements, identify target audiences, and define the scope of documentation.
- Develop, organize, and maintain technical documentation such as user guides, installation manuals, FAQs, API documentation, and release notes for One Shield
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to gather and synthesize technical information for documentation.
- Continuously update product documentation in line with software releases and changes.
- Create visually engaging content using diagrams, flowcharts, videos, and animations to improve user understanding.
- Ensure adherence to technical writing standards and organizational guidelines.
- Stay up to date with the latest tools, trends, and methodologies in technical writing.
- Acquire knowledge of the insurance domain and One Shield products.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of computer programming fundamentals and the ability to comprehend technical concepts.
- Proficiency in writing for technical and non-technical audiences with clarity and precision.
- Experience in tools like MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, and documentation platforms like SharePoint.
- Knowledge of developing SharePoint modern pages is a plus
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira) and video editing tools (e.g., Vyond)
- Ability to research and present complex technical information in an easily digestible format.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a reputed institute.
- A total experience of 4-5 years with 2–3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the IT or software development industry.
