Business Analyst - Product

This position may be based out of either of our offices in India: Gurgaon, Haryana, or Panjim, Goa.

OneShield India is a wholly-owned subsidiary and Software Product Development Center of OneShield, Inc. We are an innovative provider of core software solutions serving Property & Casualty insurance carriers. Business Analyst (P&C Insurance domain)

• Well versed with P & C insurance domain. Any recognized P & C Insurance certification is desirable.
• Takes ownership of business requirements and issues in the overall context of the processes of a relevant insurance organization or market for US and Canada
• Participate in requirements review, design review and architectural discussions to offer input on the testability, planning or estimating.
• Understands, investigates, develops and improves business processes.
• Considers and proposes solutions whether in terms of overall application architecture, enhancements, configuration, new or improved processes, or better use of existing facilities.
• Presents, documents, and discusses solutions in a knowledgeable, credible and convincing manner to all levels of seniority, externally and internally.
• Communicates clearly and unambiguously to developers and others, and helps to analyse and resolve issues.
• Encourages, mentors and educates others, and is able to manage actual or virtual teams in a wide range of activities including workshops, studies, and project work strands with little or no supervision.
• Creates all optimal use cases as per business scenarios and solution to cater transformation and optimization of existing systems and processes.
• Review various UI and screens so as to ensure that these are as per user needs and expectations.
• Has the flexibility to deploy skills at any stage of the business lifecycle, for example in product development, pre-sales, implementation, support and training.
• Posesses excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Should be strong in stake holders management.
• Design and execute test plans and test cases for various subsystems to satisfy himself that the developed system is as per user needs and data flow is perfect
• Develop, maintain and communicate the testing metrics to the stakeholders on regular basis.
• Take complete responsibility for managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase.
• Dcouments advisories for customers for the new features
• Act as a bridge between users and technical team so as to evolve a finally workable solution, which is acceptable to users.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language and excellent inter-personal skills.
• Exceptional logical and analytical skills.
• Excellent documentation skills
• Must be well-versed in software processes and methodologies.
• Ability to influence product design by understanding end user expectations.

• A full time Bachelors’/Masters’ Degree from a recognized university.
• Any recognized P & C Insurance certification is desirable.
• Any training and/or specialized courses in Insurance sector would be an advantage.

• Minimum 8 years experience in Insurance Domain. Minimum 3 years experience as Business Analyst in I.T. / Software industry.
• Prior experience of testing OneShield Solution will be a plus.
• OneShield tool experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience using Jira desirable.
